First Glimpse of Mount Murud - The Journey

Mount Murud.

Situated on the Kelabit Highlands in between of Bario and Ba Kelalan in Borneo, Sarawak, Mount Murud famed itself as the highest peak in Sarawak, Borneo, Malaysian Territory with 7950ft above sea level.

For over 20 years, this place makes a significant retreat place for the Christians as they come to this mountain to seek a quiet time with God.

This second post will tell you more on how to get to the Mountain, in pictures - as pictures will tell lots of story:




Arriving in Ba Kelalan on twin otter flight.



Next day, depending on the weather - if weather permits we may take a 4x4WD transfers to Lepo Bunga (2hrs).



And here, the climbing begins at the altitude of 3000ft above sea level. This is the time you will enjoy the typical rainforest beauty.


Until you reach the point when the plank walk begins. There will be a story behind this plank walk. God is awesome!!



Enjoy the nature on the plankwalk, as well as the presence of the Holy Spirit. Haleluyah!



And at the end of the plank walk, another climb awaiting for you (short one) until you reach the false peak. Lo and behold, beautiful scenery awaiting for you.
